Annagine's Crew headed up by skipper Andreas Buhl captain/engineer is there to provide you with an outstanding level of professionalism; their main aim is to provide you with a spectacular, life-enhancing and memorable experience which fulfils all your expectations in the utmost of comfort and style.

Seconded up by Laurien Oerlemans, who's experience in entertainment, the culinary arts and guest logistics, Annagine's crew guarantee that your time aboard will be savoured by you and your fellow guests.

Andreas Buhl captain/engineer

Andreas was born and raised in Salzburg, Austria though started sailing from childhood on cruising the Mediterranean Sea with his family. As teenager he assisted his father in building a 56’ ketch, which laid next to his technical education the cornerstone for his strong technical background.

While studying geography and journalism at the University of Vienna he gained further sailing experience by seasonal dinghy racing on the lakes and first yacht deliveries. His professional career started when he got offered the first mates position on a 107’ classic Abeking & Rasmussen in 2005 and after he made his yacht master license taking on his first command in 2006. At the end of two seasons racing the Mediterranean classic circuit he meet his lovely partner Laurien and together they extensively sailed delivering various boats around the Atlantic ocean until they took on a circumnavigation off the beaten track on a 92’ Don Brooks from 2009 until 2012.

Laurien Oerlemans hostess/deckhand

Laurien was born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and was raised internationally due to her fathers profession. At the age of 5 she started competitive dinghy racing on the Long Island Sound, USA. Later based in England Laurien studied nursing but found her vocation in training racehorses.

In 2000 she made her Jockey license at Newmarket. In 2005 Laurien was asked by her cousin to join him on his classic 78’ ketch and entered the yachting industry by racing the Mediterranean circuit and hosting charters. After two seasons Laurien was keen to do an Atlantic crossing and meet Andreas. In the following years Laurien developed her skills in sailing as well as hospitality and culinary delights based on local delicacies. Next to enjoying hard sailors work Laurien loves to look after all your needs and wishes, ensuring you have the most comfortable and enjoyable stay on board Annagine.
